What's the most important book you ever read? Why?
I know mine.

The Things They Carried by Tim O'brien. Had to read this for AP English Literature in 12th grade. My school had about zero funding, so my teacher xeroxed copies of this entire book for each kid in the class. I still have my copies ten years later, and so do a handful of my pals from that class. I've since bought a few copies of it, but I keep giving it away. I'll keep buying more.

I got to see Tim O'brien read the title story at one of ODU's Literary Festivals. Gave me goosepimples, it did.
