Meeting Lance Mountain and Steve Olson

So I wasn't even sure I was gonna go to this event and at the last minute I decided I would. It was well worth it. Great time. I posted a full album on Facebook, but these are my favorite shots from the night...Lance Mountain was the coolest dude, such a mellow guy and easy to talk to. We talked about his days as 411VM guy. He probably thought that was weird, I don't know. Every one has their own memories. He is 48 years old and has been involved with professional skateboarding since 1978, the year I was born.

Canon 5D Mark II

My work got a new camera today. Since I am the chief "photographer guy" at work I'm looking forward to using it (Canon 5D Mark II with a 35mm 1.4 lens). It's my first experience with a full frame camera. Here are some sample shots I took, just getting used to things...

Photo Essay: RVA November Skate Trip

Went to Richmond yesterday to meet up with some RVA skate bros and film for Alley Bar. Clem Martin of Recordings of Boardings was our guide. It was a little cold for early November but still made for a fun day of skating with friends. It's always nice to get out of town for a day and Richmond is always fun.
