Mobile photography
I saw this on the internet yesterday. I watched it and I thought it was good. Good enough to share here anyway. Heads up: It's a 10 minute video/opinion of why Instagram is popular and culturally significant and all that jazz... If that's not your thing, then... move along I guess. I thought it was pretty well done.

excitebike
been so lonng long long. dont know what to do .?
outside things look different; you doo too.
you havent wrritten a thing in awhile; / you dont say?
how about you? everything cool?
everthing gone tomorrow here today. outlasting our very days
ain't much else to say, things nothing noone nowhere cares about anyway.
(on their way).
outside in the cold distance, princes have their views...
somewhere someone pretty is laughing.
there aint much use/
been awhile maybe i will make some more
i like my bursts, of full-on blast.
it doesnt make no matter, sense anyhow hard you try.
amateur hour at the poetry center, thats fine.
face on fire with the things you say and the words you slay.
like demons, from a comic book of nothing (nowhere man).
out of the dust comes this.
the afternooon sun dust you see in your rooms—
for that half hour of golden air, dangling, floating...
"what's that daddy?" dylan says;
not sure i can explain it son, not sure i know;
. . .

Oh, Love
What can I say, I still think Green Day is tight. When I hear their music it brings me back to being 15 and skateboarding and acting like a degenerate. This video in particularly awesome. It's all the girls and booze of a rap video, with a punk band half heartedly interested in the music or the charades.

All day session Sunday
Templeton and Trey.
Trey blocking my shot while Littel ollies.
Instagram is just as much a part of the session these days.
Littel, boardslides with cigarette, ala "the teenager."
Neal, smith grind.
Templeton, 50-50.
Neal, Tailslide (on the way up).
Littel, feeble.
The launch pad.
Templeton, 50-50.
More on site, photo editing.
Littel, back flip.
Littel, with the hard earned banger of the day... frontside flip fakie manual just before the rain. So sick!

FreakFreely is tight.
"I’m well out of high school now and life isn’t like that at all and I don’t entirely want it to be but it still seems romantic. What I long for most is the laziness. Nowadays buddy hangtime often happens in wine bars where everyone keeps his/her smartphone out on the counter and though I love wine and find great value in the Internet, sometimes I get so down about it, the busy-ness of it all. I know a lot of the modern-day lack of laziness has to do with not being a kid anymore, and some of it’s got to do with living in Los Angeles — but I’ve also got an overwhelming suspicion that life was cooler before I grew up, and I really did miss out on something, and the world we’re living in now just gets progressively lamer and duller and grosser and nastier, day after day after day."

The Shallows
Just finished this book last night. Good read for anyone.
"The bond between book reader and book writer has always been a tightly symbiotic one, a means of intellectual and artistic cross-fertilization. The words of the writer act as a catalyst in the mind of the reader, inspiring new insights, connections, and perceptions. And the very existence of the attentive, critical reader provides the spur for the writer’s work. It gives the author the confidence to explore new forms of expression, to blaze difficult and demanding paths of thought, to venture into uncharted and sometimes hazardous territory. 'All great men have written proudly, nor cared to explain,' said Emerson. 'They knew that the intelligent reader would come at last, and would thank them.'"

Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros
Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros - Man On Fire [Official Video] from Edward Sharpe on Vimeo.
This shit is so awesome. On the same note, how does one cultivate a life in which you get to play in an 11 piece band on stage and look like this:
