Bring it Wiley!

Okay, so not that much awesome came out this past year, but if I was hard pressed to make a list, it would resemble something like the above. However, being the whimsical contradiction that I am, all things subject to change. A few notes:
1. I'm aware that Devendra's above album was released in late '09 but I think I listened to it alot in 2010 and it really is pretty amazing.
2. I fought the urge to include older album that I was into this year (i.e. my most recent downloads include Lennon and Yokos - Double Fantasy, Bruce Springsteen - Darkness On the Edge of Town and Jimi Hendrix - Electric Ladyland).
3. Who even cares about this stuff anymore? I mostly listen to music at work, which is not an altogether pleasant thing. Music has changed so much for me over the years and the act of listening to it has gotten, well, strange. But maybe that is for another more lengthy, diatribal post. Diatribal!?
Merry Christmas and Cheers to more blogging!

Dylan's Jokerman covered by the one and only, Herman Dune. Amazing.

Sailing Maniacs

I know the internet is a vast scape of information, entertainment and distraction and has made impulsive little twits of us all, but this is a worthwhile documentary on "sailing maniacs." As seen on http://www.fecalface.com

...from the original post:
"Take note: it takes a second to get into it, but becomes addictive. As one commenter wrote: THIS IS A JEWEL of sailing, low budget videos! If you will survive through the first minute or so with way too much black in editing, you enter an over one hour long story with almost NPR/PBS documentary quality... It reminds me a lot of This American Life and Ira Glass-esque narration."
